It’s a tasty and comforting Chinese style pasta made with penne instead of chinese noodles. This pasta with soy sauce recipe is low on effort but big on flavours.

I like serving this soy sauce pasta with chicken or beef for dinner.

Ingredients

Penne pasta – You can substitute this with any other type of pasta.

Soy sauce – I used dark soy sauce but you can substitute it for light soy sauce or a combination of dark and light soy sauce.

Oyster sauce

Brown sugar or Honey

Onion – I like to use brown onion.

Ginger

Garlic

Black pepper – To add a spicy kick. This can be substituted for chilli pepper.

Mixed peppers- I use red, green and yellow bell peppers.

Olive oil

Sesame oil

Cornflour

Storing and Reheating Leftovers

Soy sauce penne pasta is best eaten fresh but if you have leftovers, it can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. I don’t recommend freezing it.
To reheat, add to a pan, sprinkle with water and cook on low heat till it’s heated through or simply microwave it on high heat till it’s warmed.
