Creamy Shredded Chicken Pasta
This easy creamy shredded chicken pasta recipe is made with a few ingredients but packs a whole lot of flavor. It is a comfort weeknight chicken and pasta dinner that is ready in 30 minutes.

About This Creamy Shredded Chicken Pasta Recipe
Quick- This pasta with shredded chicken dinner comes together quickly. Boil the pasta on a separate burner while making the sauce on another, combine and you have a hearty meal that is ready in under 30 minutes.
Family friendly- It is adult and kid friendly so don’t be surprised if you get asked for second servings.
Creamy- It is creamy, cheesy, and bursting with flavors. The perfect comfort meal.
Ingredients
Boneless shredded chicken– You can use leftover chicken.
Pasta– I used penne for this recipe but you can use spaghetti, farfelle, or any pasta.
Heavy cream – In the UK, this is known as double cream.
Parmesan
Italian seasoning– This can be replaced with herbs de Provence or mixed herbs.
Black pepper
Salt
Olive oil

Garlic – Use fresh garlic but if this isn’t available, substitute with garlic powder or granules.
Chicken stock cube

Helpful Tips
- If you don’t have leftover shredded chicken in the fridge, boil or pan fry chicken breasts and shred.
- The quantity of pepper recommended is how I like mine to be spicy, you can use as much as you like or reduce the quantity to suit you.
- Add veggies like carrots and peas if you like.
How To Make Shredded Chicken Pasta
Make the creamy shredded chicken sauce- Place a pan on low heat. Add oil and chopped onions and sautee the onions till they are fragrant and soft then add minced garlic. Fry for 1 minute.

Pour in onion granules, black pepper, Italian seasoning, crushed stock cube, and salt. Stir fry for 1-2 minutes.

Add shredded chicken, double cream and grated parmesan. Stir and let it simmer for 2-5 minutes.

Cook pasta- Boil pasta in a pot till it is aldente and drain.
Combine pasta and shredded chicken sauce- Add the cooked pasta. Stir to combine and simmer for another 1-2 minutes.

Take off the heat and serve.

Storing and Reheating Leftovers
Pack shredded chicken pasta in a sealable container and store it in the fridge for up to 4 days.
To reheat: Add the pasta to a pan, add a few tablespoons of milk or water to loosen the cream, and heat on low until it’s warmed.
You can also reheat it in the microwave, transfer pasta to a microwave-safe plate, splash in some milk or water, and microwave on high for 1-2 minutes till heated.

- 1.5 cups Heavy cream Double cream
- 1/4 cup Parmesan
